Rules and Regulations
This championship has now moved onto its fifth season, but with it, there will be a stricter regime for infringement of the rules. With Rfactor, network problems like lag should be more or less sorted, so don't consider using it as an excuse for own failures. Reckless driving, general abuse, any forms of cheating, e.t.c are all infringements of the policy we have.
I would also like to take this opportunity to say that if possible, make sure ALL programs are turned off when you enter a server, whether it's the race, qualifying or even practice, any running programs add to the lag in the server and generally make the racing less competitive due to the mis-judgement of a cars running. So if possible, try to reframe from running programs while playing rFactor, sign out of MSN/Skype, turn off the internet, e.t.c.
Qualifying
Due to lag problems because of too many drivers, we have introduced some sort of a pre-qualifying rule after race 1. The rule will be active from race 2 on. Only the fastest 16 drivers after the qualifying are allowed to take part in the race, everyone else is forced to leave. If you don't do a lap because you come late or other reasons, that is your fault.
Racing Regulations
We will be much more tolerant over incidents, and with the assistance of various track cameras, can analyse areas where you may cutting the track to gain an advantage secretly, may this be a pre-warning to you, that such areas will be monitored after every sprint and feature race, so if caught violating this issue, you will be deemed to have read the rules, but not met our policy, and will therefore meet a suitable punishment. As this championship could have result in a greater number of registrations, we will most likely take a stricter action, so the fairest people can race together in the cleanest way possible.
Driver Aids
GPROC are an organisation determined to be playable for people of all talents and playing equipment. As a keyboard driver, you will naturally find it very difficult to keep up with wheel users, so to ensure that wheel users aren't totally dominant, we allow the options of numerous driver aids so your job is made far easier. However, due to a slight edit of the driver aids in use, we have added a slight competition by giving a very slight advantage to using less or preferably no driver aids. However, for non-wheel users, GPROC strongly advise the use of traction control, anti-lock brakes, and stability control. Nevertheless, if you're a wheel user, who believe you're advanced enough at online racing games, you may wish to not use some of the driver aids given, in doing so, this increases the difficulty of mastering the car to reach your limits. Nevertheless, here are the driver aids that GPROC allow for:
Traction Control (TC)
Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS)
Stability Control
Auto-Shifting
Clutch Assistance
Note, all of these driver aids will be allowed to be set to their highest level, to maintain playability and competitiveness for non-wheel users, but even if you're not a wheel user, you may not choose to use all of the driver aids available, but it will increase the difficulty, so beware.
Note for the Season 5 mod: If you switch off Clutch Assistance, you need to assign a button for ignition or you wont be able to restart your car!
Server Information
Ensuring you have all the correct files to the server host and rest of the championship to avoid "mismatches", proving you have already signed up to the championship; you will be permitted to join our online servers. Our official servers are not always recognisable by the "refresh list" so you may require the server hosts IP address. These IP addresses will be posted by the host in the official GPRO thread. Once the IP address is received, simply type it into the box provided, and join the server which will be called: ' GPRO' the password for this server will always be: "gpro10" ensure that you have the correct punctuation for the password to be accepted by the server, and now, you should be able to enter the GPRO server.
